Dear Senator Corder -
I am running against an incumbent for district 9 - Rep Judy Boyle. I am also a republican, and I have NEVER run for any office. I am also the target of mailers from NRA, Gun.PAC, Idaho Chooses Life, Idaho Petroleum Council and I don't know who else - claiming things that aren't true.
Your blog confirms that I am doing the right thing, that the opposition is feeling threatened, and that they are willing to say and do anything to win.
I am a person of deep faith, and I know this battle isn't mine. I want to confirm to you that the truth just "is" - is isn't debatable. Keep speaking the whole truth. The people that matter will recognize it, and the people that can be bought can't recognize it.
It is a matter of honor, sir.
Best to you,
Jeri

As a taxpayer in both Ada and Boise counties I am offended by the manner in which voters were disenfranchised by the Ada County Republicans. On the local news, they bragged about the 8k plus turnout when in fact that is a tiny percentage of the Republicans living in Ada county. My suggestion that they offer at least as many Caucus locations as did Boise County went unanswered. My comment to the County Chair, well in advance of the Caucus, that the chosen location has a history of parking problems for even a college football game, fell on deaf ears. The BSU campus was not going to work as the sole site for a Caucus, in the most heavily populated county in this state. Of the Caucus turnout in all the other Idaho counties, there were only a few that did worse than Ada County. Perhaps you could use your influence, as a senator, to convince the Idaho State Republican Party that a 3% turnout in Ada County, as compared to a 6% turnout in Boise County, is nothing to be proud of.

Senator Corder, where can a citizen obtain information on your statement "Livestock producers are suffering severe losses" [from wolves}. I'd like to check out that data for myself.

Dear Tim,
I appreciate your common sense approach to what creates the business climate to create jobs. I too have the same common sense opinion as you do in this regard.
I'm very convinced that President Obama doesn't have a clue about how jobs are created----all he and his Harvard- trained people know is the government approach ---big government to create jobs.
Thanks for your information.

Dear Tim,
I read with great interest "the green thing" . As you know, I grew up during the Great Depression with 3rd grade-educated parents (who had PHDs from
the University of Hard Knocks). They were practicing "the green thing" in the 1920's on and taught their children about it, I'm proud to say. They were
practicing good environmental stewardship in the mountains in regards to
grazing, etc. even though they didn't have a clue of the Government definition of Environmental Protection Agency.
Thanks for the good information in other areas as well.

What a complex, unpredictable world we have created for ourselves. Too much politics/government, and too many laws just lead to confusion and uncertainty.

For me politics seem to be much like the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle, the more precisely one property is measured, the less precisely the other can be measured.

I can't imagine how you find the time to deal with everything going on, keep your constituency informed, and then still read books to your grandchildren and/or have time for family. I can see the current political situtaion weighs heavily on you, and that you put a lot of thought into it.

Let your conscience be your guide and I'll thank you for that...

Unfortunately, Senator, I agree with most of your conclusions. I'm glad I taught while electives were still viable and educators were still respected and valued in this state. I appreciate your thoughtful response to many issues this session, which I would otherwise characterize as a near-disaster.
